BILINGUAL SERVICES WILL INCUR $75 UPCHARGE FOR CEREMONIES INCLUDING THE SPANISH LANGUAGE.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE: The time it takes to actually exchange your Wedding Vows (aka your WEDDING!!) is up to you, we can keep it as short as 8-10 minutes or as long as 30 minutes. Any more than that and your guests typically cease listening and start to zone out! jk, but really…

PREP FOR THE WEDDING: Your Officiant will work with you to fulfill your ceremony expectations. The Officiant will need some time to visit with you so they can learn more about you; this typically takes place 20-30 days prior to your wedding day. We’re available to chat in our office, by telephone, video chat, at your venue, or a convenient spot for both of us (coffee shops or frozen yogurt shops are perfect). Whatever works best for you! You are encouraged to give as much input as you desire into the wording of your script, please let us know what’s important and special to you and we’ll incorporate it. ALL CONSULTATIONS ARE FREE.

CEREMONY: Your Officiant will arrive with plenty of time to scope out the ceremony site, perform a sound-check (if necessary) and help get your bridal party ready for the ceremony. Your Officiant will be properly dressed (formal vs casual) and ready to conduct an awesome ceremony. It’s our job to set the tone, get the publicly legal and romantic stuff taken care of, then transition you -and your guests- into the celebration portion of your Wedding Day!

REHEARSAL: The Officiant is available for a ONE HOUR rehearsal for an additional fee of $150 this includes travel time (if your officiant is traveling more than 45 minutes each way, there may be additional travel fees, please consider giving them a nice tip, that’s a long time in the car!); Please share your rehearsal needs with us immediately so we book your wedding and rehearsal together. The Officiant does not typically stay for a rehearsal dinner OR RECEPTION (unless your grandma says we have to), however you may certainly invite them to stay for the celebration, we have been known to indulge in a plate of food or piece of cake at your insistence. 🙂
Cancellation of rehearsal services must be made 30-days prior to avoid forfeiting your fee. Cancellations must be presented to Short and Sweet Weddings Management, not the Officiant. All reservation fees are 25% non-refundable, despite the number of days notice.

HOW FAR WILL WE TRAVEL: Greater-Austin-Area refers to Austin City Limits & most of Williamson County. If you’re unsure, give us a call or email to verify price. Please provide us with the EXACT address of where your event is planned to be along with a contact phone number at least 24-hours in advance.

OUTLYING AREA FROM AUSTIN: This definition is loosely described as locations outside the city limits of Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Leander, Hutto, Del Valle, Manor… BUT still within Travis or Williamson Counties. Extreme west Travis County and extreme north and northwestern Williamson County are considered outlying areas (ie; Jonestown, Lago Vista, Lakeway, Liberty Hill, Bertram, Taylor, etc). Locations within Bastrop, Hays, Blanco, Burnet, Bell, Milam counties are considered further than Outlying-Areas and will require a travel fee. Please contact us for exact quote if you’re unsure.

HOW DO I PAY:

  • CASH -or- DEBIT/CREDIT
  • CHECK/MONEY ORDER payable to SHORT AND SWEET WEDDINGS (must be rec’d 14 days before ceremony)
  • 25% of all appointments are non-refundable. See Cancellation Penalty or Reschedule without Penalty policy listed below.
